We’re Alexa and Anna, the passionate founders behind this unique space dedicated to empowering your artistic journey. Our story began in 2016 on the lively grounds of our university, where we discovered a shared love for art and the transformative experience of crafting by hand. That passion took us on an inspiring trip to New York, igniting the vision that would later become Nacre Creative. By 2024, our dream took shape, and we launched Nacre Creative to bring creativity and peace into homes worldwide.
The importance of mental health is deeply personal to us. As children, we loved crafting and creating, finding joy and fulfillment in those simple moments. But as the years passed, the demands of adult life began to overshadow that childhood passion. The idea of embarking on a creative project—finding time, gathering supplies, and dedicating ourselves to it—started to seem increasingly difficult. Both of us worked in fast-paced corporate environments, feeling the weight of stress and the creeping effects of burnout, which took a toll on our mental well-being.
It was during these moments that we longed for the times when our only task in the afternoons was to create something beautiful with our mom, in summer craft camps, or with friends, where we felt truly connected and at peace. This nostalgia reminded us of what was missing from our busy adult lives: the joy of creating, listening to our inner selves, and embracing the feminine flow of creativity.
This realization inspired us to create Nacre Creative, aiming to remove the barriers that held us back from crafting and to help others do the same. We curate high-quality, all-inclusive DIY kits so that adults can focus solely on the experience of creating, enjoying, and taking time for themselves—without the stress of preparation. Nacre Creative is born
Born from the hearts of two friends, Nacre Creative began with a mission: to bring creativity back into people’s lives in a way that feels elevated, modern, and meaningful. We set out to break the idea that DIY is childish — and built a brand rooted in premium materials, stylish results, and mindful experiences.
Our First Workshops & Team Buildings
While crafting our first DIY kits behind the scenes, we also hosted our very first creative workshops. These intimate sessions brought people together, sparked community, and became the foundation of what Nacre Creative stands for today.
Our DIY Kits Debut
Our first kits launched just in time for the holidays: ceramic painting and jewelry-making kits designed with premium materials and modern aesthetics. They quickly grew into a full collection of stylish, gift-ready creative experiences.
Nacre Creative Studio Opens
We opened the doors to our cozy, vintage-inspired studio in the heart of Budapest. Since then, hundreds of participants have joined our now-iconic workshops — leaving not only with a beautiful creation, but with a recharging, memorable experience.
Expanding to Barcelona
Nacre Creative went international. Through pop-up locations, brand collaborations, and PR events in Barcelona, we brought premium creativity and mindful crafting to new communities and brand experiences.
