🧶 Crochet Basics Workshop – Learn the Foundations of the Art of Crochet! ✨
Have you always been curious about crochet but never knew where to start? Or maybe you’ve already tried it, but you’d love a solid foundation to build on with confidence? This workshop is for you! In a warm, supportive environment, you’ll learn the essential crochet techniques, get to know the tools, and go home with a small swatch you’ve crocheted yourself.
✨ What We’ll Do
📜 A brief history of crochet – A quick overview of where crochet comes from and how it became a beloved modern craft.
🧰 Tool introduction – Meet the most important tools: cotton yarn, crochet hooks, and a few additional accessories. You’ll learn what they’re used for and how to choose the right tools as a beginner.
📚 Reading patterns – We’ll walk through how to interpret basic crochet instructions and symbols.
🧵 Making your first slip knot and foundation chain – Learn how every crochet project begins.
🔁 Practicing the basic stitches – On a small swatch (square or coaster), we’ll practice all the fundamental techniques.
All at a relaxed pace, with plenty of hands-on practice and personal guidance.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll confidently hold a crochet hook, create basic stitches, read simple patterns, and understand the logic behind crochet — the foundation you need to later create bags, tops, blankets, amigurumi, or wearable pieces.

What if I need to cancel?
Life happens, we get it. 🤍
👉 7+ days before your workshop: Full refund — no stress, no questions asked.
👉 Less than 7 days, but more than 72 hours before: We’ll refund 50% of your workshop fee.
👉 Within 72 hours: By this point, your spot and materials are all prepared for you, so unfortunately we’re unable to offer a refund.
Can’t make it? You’re welcome to send someone else in your place — just let us know beforehand.
What should I wear?
There’s no dress code — wear whatever makes you feel good. Most of our workshops can get a little hands-on, but nothing too dramatic.
That said, maybe leave the irreplaceable vintage silk blouse at home. Just in case creativity gets messy. ✨
Do I need any experience?
Absolutely not. That’s what we’re here for. ✨
Our workshops are designed for complete beginners, so no previous experience or secret artistic talent required. We’ll guide you through the process step by step, demonstrate the techniques and be there whenever you need a little help.
Can kids join?
Absolutely, little creatives are very welcome. 🎨
Most of our workshops are suitable from age 7+. Children under 12 need to be accompanied by an adult with their own workshop ticket — because watching from the sidelines is no fun. Everyone gets to create. ✨
Please note that age recommendations may vary depending on the workshop, so check the individual workshop description before booking.
Workshop Language
Most of our workshops are bilingual and can be followed in both Hungarian and English, however, this may vary depending on the workshop.
In Budapest, we currently do not offer workshops held exclusively in English, while our Barcelona workshops are held in English.
